In 1976-77 we try to bring the interior of the church under the direction of architect primitive decor. Albino Arnaudo of Cuneo with the approval of the Superintendent of Monuments of Turin. It was restored in the vault of the presbytery which renders the beginning of the last century were dangerously moving away. From coarse friezes on the ceiling crumbling the rounds were carefully detached frescoes of good quality, reproducing the four major prophets, one of whom, in a poor state of preservation, was partly saved from destruction. These rounds are now collacati, two in the chapel on the left side of the chancel and two priestly area at the main altar.
Examining the backbone pushed through the idea of any stone supports the arch and in fact, undermined the plaster appeared the two shelves which are Romanesque and 'talked about before. In the same way it was discovered the key to romanicain stone ceiling of the chancel, which is also covered by plaster. The beautiful times of mpate were freed by the recent decoration of poor taste that smeared, highlighting the harmony of their architectural lines. Were also discovered in the semi-cooked (fifteenth century) and restored to their original decor, while the four Evangelists painted on the side arches, were left in their home thoroughly cleaned.
To give architectural proportions of the nave, was closed the whole that opened the chapel of Lourdes with considerable imbalance of the environment, placing the eighteenth century altar in the most 'noble position. The initiative to re-evaluate and highlight the beauty and characteristics of the ancient church, is due to the zealous parish priest Don Giuseppe Ribero who dedicate ', with passion and with a strong sensitivity', the restoration of the parish.
